Ramadan charity donations start off in Indonesia

We’ve made our first donation following the charity event we’ve started running during the holy month of Ramadan. Thanks to your great support and activity, we raised a significant amount of money, which we expect will help a lot of people in need. Our first charity transfer of 99 mln rupiahs has been made to the account of our friends in the Bali Sports Foundation.

The Bali Sports Foundation is a non-profit organisation that helps physically challenged athletes in Bali and East Indonesia across different sports categories. We started to cooperate with BSF in 2015 and have not stopped supporting it ever since, focusing on wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, and disabled sailing.

After receiving the donation, Rodney Holt, the head of the Bali Sports Foundation, conveyed his sincere thanks to us and shared inspiring news about the International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament that was held in Bali this July. We were delighted to discover that our support covered the costs of equipment and arrangements for this event. The OctaFX team hopes the foundation and all athletes find exciting new challenges, reach even greater heights, and overcome all obstacles.

During Ramadan, we launched a campaign to raise funds for good deeds. In several countries, we promised to donate to charitable causes $0.10 for every lot traded that month. We were happy to see how actively you traded during this event: in Indonesia alone, we managed to raise 198 mln rupiahs. We look forward to holding more charity events and bringing more exciting activities to our clients.
